We love children! We are committed to providing a safe, secure, clean, loving, learning environment for your child. We consider it an honor and a privilege to serve babies and toddlers who come through our doors. Children are a gift of God and need to be nurtured and treasured. At First Parish, we believe in providing a safe environment for your child which is why we CORI check all our Sunday school teachers. We have ministries designed to meet the needs of everyone, from infants and up, and provide the following ministries and services:
Nursery: The goal of the nursery is to partner with parents in the spiritual development and well-being of the family. Nursery is provided for our 10:30 a.m. Sunday Services and most special meetings of First Parish.
Toddlers: First Parish provides toddler care for our 10:30 a.m. Sunday Services and most special meetings. Toddlers are supervised and have the opportunity to play with other children, draw, paint, and just be kids.
Sunday School: Our Sunday school program runs during the school year and is taught by church volunteers, and is available for children from pre-kindergarten up through High School. For younger children, Sunday School meets upstairs in our Children’s Ministry area.
For 6th-12th grade students, we meet in the Fireside Room for a discussion based class (right now using the series Alpha Teen). This is technically a part of our Student Ministry, but happens at the same time as our Children’s Ministry Sunday School meeting.
