There are many religions in this world. What makes Christianity different? If one would take the
time to examine the word religions and then the Christian faith according to the Bible, one
would see several clear distinctions.
When we examine most religions, we see a common thread of what a person does. A list of
works that must be done and maintained in order to fulfill the requirements they say would be
needed to gain God’s favor and ultimately life in heaven.
But the Christian faith teaches that Jesus paid the price for our sins when he shed his blood on
the cross and then rose from the dead. And it’s the work of Jesus that provides the means of
salvation and not what I do.
May I encourage you to recognize that we could never do enough, and that Jesus did it all for
us, for you, and that if you give your life to Christ, you will be forgiven.
