“Behold, I am about to do something new.”

Isaiah 43:19a

A few weeks ago, at our church Annual Meeting, the church family approved a new budget which included funding for an associate minister. We are hoping to begin a search for an Associate Pastor of Children and Family Ministry, who’s primary role would be working with Christian Education, to fulfill this primary purpose: “The selected candidate would direct and lead programming for Family, Early Childhood and Elementary age youth, to foster Christian community by building relationships with families.” This is a rough idea of what the focus of the associate might be including outreach towards young families with children in our community.

This is exciting news as First Parish has seen several new families coming into the church and our desire is to prepare for more growth in this area. The leadership team is praying for God’s guidance as we begin to move forward in assembling a Search Committee and start the process of finding the person who will fulfill this new role.
Please pray as we consider this, “something new,” here at FPCC in 2022! We are praying for God’s timing in being able to bring someone on board to begin working with young families preferably before the end of this summer.

In His Service,
Pastor John
