Spiritual Support

Stephen Ministers

Stephen Ministers are long-time congregation members who have received specialized training to provide confidential, one-to-one Christian care to people experiencing a crisis or going through a difficult time in life, such as grief, divorce, job loss, chronic or terminal illness, or relocation. Stephen Ministers meet weekly with their care receiver for around an hour to listen, care, encourage, pray, and provide emotional and spiritual support for the person. Caring relationships last for as long as the person’s needs persist.

Prayer

On Sunday mornings, First Parish offers the opportunity to pray privately with a member of our church leadership in our Prayer Room, located at the back of the sanctuary.

We also have an active and dedicated group of prayer warriors that pray faithfully and fervently for confidential requests submitted online and via email.
